Life Legacy
Age 82, of Farmington Hills, died Monday afternoon, February 4, at Odyssey Hospice, Southfield.
Mary was born January 7, 1931, in Detroit, the daughter of James and Anna (Hansen) Dishman. She married Clyde R. Hobbins, Jr., on September 1, 1956, at Clarenceville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Clyde; loving children, Major Cherri Hobbins, Michele (John) Morris, Bruce (Kim) Hobbins, Keith (Angela) Hobbins and Kelley (Mark) Raby; cherished grandchildren, Rachelle (Steve), Kailee, Sean, Kyle, Michael, Kristopher, Becci, Steven, Collin, Grace, Olivia, Stacey, Nicholas and Natalie; and great grandchildren, Gabby, Rylee, CJ, Josie, Shayne and Caleb. Sadly, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Ruth Watson.
The Hobbins family will receive guests at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6, from 2-8 pm.
Mary’s funeral ceremony is planned for Thursday, February 7th, 11:00 am (in state 10:30 am) at Clarenceville United Methodist Church, 20300 Middlebelt Rd., Livonia. The Reverends Dr. James Tuttle and Donald Sperling will officiate.
Burial at Redford Cemetery will follow the funeral luncheon.
Memorial tributes are suggested to Clarenceville Church or the Smile Train (an international charity that provides cleft palate surgery to those in need, as well as providing training to doctors in the region).
